Cycling in Amsterdam

Amsterdam is rightly known as the City of Bikes, with an estimated 800,000 on the streets. The best way to see Amsterdam is definitely by bike, and you can also use it for going to NIKHEF to attend the workshop.

You can rent a bicycle in all train stations. It costs about 20 euros for one week. There are also a lot of different places around Amsterdam where you can rent bicycles, such as Rent a Bike Damstraat or MacBike among others.

Ask in your hotel for the nearest place to rent bikes. Also, ask if you can store the bicycle in a safe place during the night, as you don't want to have an unpleasant surprise in the morning by discovering that your bicycle "flew".
